Only God Should Judge

Recently I have come across a video that someone posted on YouTube that compelled me to post this.

A young lady was sharing with the world her struggles of trying to establish a relationship with God while she is trying to figure out her sexual preference. This topic is important to me as it should be to many others. The topic is Living as a Christian without being Judgmental.
Now I must be honest, this was something that I greatly struggled with. Judging others sexual preferences, lifestyles etc. As a man of God I took to hear 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, which says that light and darkness should not be bound together for the things that  light delights in darkness dislikes and vice versa.

Yet a lyric from one of my favorite Christian Hip-Hop groups called “Social Club” mentioned in one of their songs that everyone is a sinner, and when it comes to those who choose to be gay, they are sinners just like us they just choose to sin differently.
That statement truly open my mind, reason being, I took a look at that statement and said to myself, “Those of the alternative community are just like me and you” (that being those of us who are sinners saved by the grace of God).  So with that understanding I need to be able to see them as God’s people who are sinners just like myself and love on them instead of judge.
*Note: When I use the term “Them” loosely to describe those of the alternative community, not in any way, form or fashion to belittle them or classify.*
You know we can all quote John 3:16 but how many of us actually pay attention to Vs.17.

Which says in the ESV version:
Vs.17 For God did not send his son into the world to condem the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him! Saved through him is the key term.

We as Christians have taken this self righteous view of others whose choose to sin by being Gay, as the ultimate sin, and that we should not bother even attempting to love on people who choose to live such lifestyles. I will be the one to admit I too once was one of those who would look down on those who choose to be gay. I too once shared the same closed minded mindset.
But God is love and we are called to love and serve others. Now I say that to say this; I am not in any form or fashion advocating for Gay rights, and that is for personal reasons and which I will share later.

But I will say this, all people of all backgrounds need to see the love of God in us. More people will be more open to hear and understand our view points. But we must first love more instead of judge.

James 4:12 says it best
Vs,12 There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and destroy who are we to judge our neighbor . Think twice before you judge anyone and ask God how you can best love on that person and being a living witness to them without harming them. Hope you are blessed by this article.
